KIDS GOLF SUMMER CAMPS at East Cork Golf Club will be held during July and August for 7-16 year olds. Golf professional Don MacFarlane has been teaching golf since 1993 and children’s Golf Summer Camps for over 14 years.  The aim is to keep it fun and enjoyable, play games and enjoy learning the basics of golf.  Golf is great for encouraging fitness, coordination and for learning as a new sport. Camp costs €60 per child – or book 2 camp places (family/sibling discount) for rate of €50 per child. Space is coming to Ireland! Blackrock Castle Observatory is celebrating 10 years as an award-winning science and discovery centre in Cork this year. This year Tipperary County Museum’s annual summer camp is CASTLES AND CRAFT.  Children will visit Cahir Castle to experience what life was really like to live in a medieval castle. This mixed activity camp will also include art and craft, fun games/activities and archaeology. Discover what life was like living in a castle, learn about the tools and weapons of warfare, and make your own weapons and other medieval related art projects, archery, combat school.  Explore the world of real life archaeology.  Art and craft activities based around the castle, archery, combat training and other fun activities will also form part of the week’s activities. 

Children will also get the opportunity to experience the work undertaken by archaeologists who discover the treasures of our past and maybe even find some treasure themselves.
