Ireland's No. 1 FREE magazines for parents & teachers of primary school children
Before the Words on the Wave: Ireland and St. Gallen in Early Medieval Europe exhibition closes on 24 October, families are invited to a special open day at the National Museum of Ireland.
Meet Museum educators, try out replica materials, and discover how manuscripts were created in the early medieval period. Children can enjoy hands-on activities, from learning insular lettering to uncovering the secrets of interlace and knotwork designs.
No booking required – simply drop in and explore together. Activities are located throughout the Museum, and the day is family-friendly and wheelchair accessible. Please note children must be fully supervised by a parent or guardian.
