Dedicated to preserving the history of Dungarvan and West Waterford, it features key area events, genealogy, maritime history and more.
Dungarvan is the birthplace of Nobel Prize Winner Ernest T.S. Walton, who was the first scientist to split the atom in 1932 and the only Irish scientist to receive the Nobel award.
Opening Hours: The museum is staffed Mon to Fri from 9am To 5pm. The museum is open to the public from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm
Summer Opening Hours: During the Summer months (mid May to mid September) the museum is open Mon. To Sat. 10 am to 1 pm & 2pm to 5pm.
