Waterford - Vaderfjord - was a pagan Viking Settlement, founded in the 9th Century.
The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Christ Church was built on a site of Christian worship which dates back to 1050 and probably before.
The Cathedral has many architectural and historic features of special interest, including:

Opening Times

The cathedral will reopen to visitors in April 2007. Guided tours 11.30am and 3.30pm, other times by request. Open Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm during April – November.
