Prince August is Ireland's only toy soldier factory.
The shop at Prince August displays the largest ever produced range of miniatures based on JRR Tolkiens classic books such as The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings. An extensive range of chess sets, Irish heroes, toy soldiers, middle earth figurines and casting moulds can all be bought on site. Factory tours are available by appointment and there are daily demonstrations.
Painting classes can be booked for children or adults, or why not have your birthday party at Prince August. The birthday boy or girl will have a casting demonstration and tour of the factory, before each child paints two figures to take home - choose from wizards, ballerinas and more.
There is a present for the birthday child, with snacks, minerals and a party pack for each guest included.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.00pm
Open on Saturdays for August and Bank Holidays 10 to 4p.m.
Closed Sundays.
